Tadpoles are juvenile frogs. They remain as tadpoles for approximately 2 years. By the end of the second growing season, their tails have disappeared and legs have developed. At this point they are considered to be frogs. Tadpoles can be stocked in a lake or pond to aid in the development of the forage base for predatory species such as the largemouth bass.
Tadpoles can also be stocked in your garden pond. They feed primarily on plankton and filimentous algae, which are a major cause of unsightly water problems in garden ponds. Tadpoles may range in size from 2 to 6 inches. Click Here to Request A QuoteView Pricing for Pond fish or Aquarium Fish |
