Copper Sulfate Smart Crystals are the perfect solution for eliminating filamentous or string algae. At water temperatures of 60F or higher, it is safe to use on most varieties of fish (with some restrictions). This product is best applied in three ways: broadcasting, burlap bag dragging, or hot-water spraying. We particularly suggest dissolving the crystals in hot water and then spraying the actively growing algae. Remember, always treat just half of the pond to prevent oxygen depletion due to algae death!
